Lovely hostel for a great price even cheaper directly through the hostel when we extended. The staff are extremely helpful and the volcano tour they offer is amazing. The dorms are cleaned daily and the facilities are good. Breakfast included coffee, fruit, jam and a few large pancakes everyday.
We had a great time at Central Hostel and we are planning on returning when we get back to Antigua. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. They really tried to attend to all of our wishes. Nice and simple breakfast, clean kitchen, fast laundry service. Better service than any hotel. Would absolutely recommend.
We stayed in a room on the backside of the building so it was really quiet at night and another one upstairs that was also quiet an had a nice view.
Excellent staff! They were so helpful during check in and gave us so many tips while booking local tours. We were able to book all of our Antigua travel with them and our ride to the lake. Would definitely recommend staying here as long as youu2019re okay with a walk into the busier part of town. It was very safe and easy to also walk back during the late hours.
Staff was friendly and accomodating, the place was clean, quiet hours were observed. The kitchen was great to be able to make our own meals and the provided breakfast was great! Juan made it easy for us to drop our things off well before check-in time and he made our shuttle reservation to get to a hike up Volcan Pacaya. Overall a great stay and a great value for the money!
Location is more north than central, but the whole city is walkable and easy to get around.
Had the best time in Central Hostel! Highly recommend it! Staff were friendly and helpful, especially Cesar who is always happy to answer any question and guide you with information not only about Antigua but the surroundings too.
